We are a cooperative. We are organized as a co-op to reflect our commitment to have a non-hiearchical and worker empowered shop. All major decisions are made by true democratic process-- there are no bosses here.

We partner with growers' co-ops to get our green coffee, get financing from the cooperative development fund NCDF, import through our importing co-op Cooperative Coffees, sell to and barter with housing co-ops, food co-ops, and other worker co-ops. Being a cooperative ourselves completes the cycle.

Plus, we get to use the cool label with the twin pine trees.
